The Lancer/Essex Team is dedicated to the advancement of rocket and space technology through experimentation, research, and education, to the overall betterment of mankind.

We fly model and high power rockets with scientific payloads, such as accelerometers, GPS units, and temperature probes.  We use these rockets to gather information to help us understand the world around us.

If you are a representative of a school, youth group, or scout troop and you would like to have a presentation, please e-mail us. We are very enthusiastic about rocketry and we will even teach classes on various topics regarding rocketry at no charge for the purpose of education. We also encourage you to attend a rocketry launch in your area to see how they are run. Model and high-power rocketry are very safe when practiced properly. Safety should not be a concern. If you do happen to see a rocketry activity conducted in an unsafe manner anywhere, please let us know; we want to keep the hobby safe just as much as you do.

Thank you for stopping by.  Enjoy your visit.
